Soft Core

SOFT CORE

Soft Core is a nourishing retreat for all bodies, offering space for gentle, sustainable soul emergence. Nestled within the wild heart of Wicklow at the midpoint of 2025, this is an invitation to tune in to one’s own midpoint – through slowness, with soft but clear intention.

This gathering is about the power of yielding, of allowing, of feeling fully in the quiet embrace of your own being, surrounded by other souls singing you home to yourself. It’s the sacred center within you—supple and alive. A place of tender strength, where your soul resides in its rawest, most vulnerable truth.

This retreat will not be about pushing or performing. It’s about peeling back the layers, slowly, reverently, until the softness at your core is revealed. It’s about meeting yourself—not the masks, not the armor, but the essence beneath.

We will move slowly, deliberately, like water carving stone. Every breath, every movement, every word an offering to that quiet, sacred place within. There will be silence and sound, stillness and wild, unbridled movement. A remembering that softness is strength, and that profound sound itself is subtle.

This gathering will be a respite at the center of the cacophony of 2025 to explore what it means to live from this place. To fall into the arms of Life and let it fill you from your core. This will be a gathering for unraveling and reweaving. For celebrating the delicate power of being fully human—soft, strong, centered, alive.

FAQs

Who is this retreat for?

This retreat is open to those of all experience levels who are drawn to deepening their connection with soul. You don’t need to be “spiritual enough,” have a certain kind of practice, or be in any particular phase of your life. If you’re feeling the pull toward softness, toward rest, toward truth — and a yearning to feel more like yourself in the way that you move through the world — this retreat is for you.

It’s for the ones who are tired of always holding it together. Tired perhaps of all of the roles, the masks, the patterns. For those who are ready to gently yield to themselves.

Whether you’ve done many retreats or this is your first, we’ll meet you exactly where you are. Soft Core is for artists, caretakers, quiet ones, wild ones, seekers, feelers, skeptics with open hearts, and anyone craving a deeper kind of homecoming. All bodies, all genders, all identities are welcome here.
You don’t need to be good at expressing yourself, or even know what you’re looking for. Just a willingness to show up and meet what arises — that’s enough. We’ll move slowly, together, and you’ll have permission to be as you are. No fixing, no pushing. Just come as you are.

What can I expect to receive from this retreat?

While everyone’s journey will be unique, here are some of the things you can expect to receive from your time at Soft Core:

A deep exhale – a chance to slow right down, rest your nervous system, and soften the edges of stress, urgency, and overdoing.
The language of soul – an intentional deepening into your innermost self, through felt experience rather than intellect. We’ll explore how the soul speaks through the body, and how to live from a place of soul.
Guided movement and embodied practices designed to support gentle soul emergence, nervous system regulation, and reconnection with your natural rhythm.
Spaces of silence and stillness to meet yourself honestly, without distraction or pressure.
Ritual and ceremony rooted in connection with the land, the body, and soul — offering a sense of sacredness and renewal.
Creative practices (writing, sounding, art-making) as tools for reweaving, expressing, and honouring your inner world.
Delicious, nourishing meals made with care, to support your whole being.
Connection with like-hearted others in a non-performative space where you are free to be as quiet, expressive, open, or inward as you need to be.
A lovingly held container by experienced facilitators who are attuned to depth, safety, and soul process.
And perhaps most importantly:
A remembering. Of who you are beneath the noise. Of your own soft centre. Of what it feels like to be truly alive, in your own way, in your own time.

Will there be nudity/sexuality?

Soft Core is not focused on sexuality or relational dynamics with others. Instead, it’s an invitation to turn gently inward, to meet yourself in your own presence and truth.

That said, this is a welcoming, open space where all parts of you are allowed, including your erotic self, and we will be inviting this. There will no pressure to share, perform, reveal, or relate in any particular way, and we will ensure that we cover boundaries and consent in the beginning of the retreat. If tenderness, desire, or longing arise as part of your process, they are welcome — everything is permissible, and there’s no need for anyone to censor or edit their experience.

We will hold strong, clear boundaries to ensure that the space feels as safe and spacious as possible for everyone. However, if nudity or expressions of emotion or otherwise are triggering for you, please consider whether this is the right thing for you where you’re at. Nothing is expected of you — how much you engage, share, speak, move, or rest is entirely up to you. You will be supported to move at your own pace, with deep respect for your autonomy and choice.

What is this not?

Soft Core is a transformational, soul-centred space that is trauma-informed and deeply supportive — but it is not therapy. This is not a place for processing acute trauma, nor is it a replacement for one-to-one therapeutic support.

We are not here to fix or analyse anyone. Rather, we’re creating a space where you can be with yourself — gently, honestly, and without pressure. You will be held with care, but your process is your own.

This is also not a performance space, not a productivity retreat, not a self-optimisation bootcamp. There’s no hierarchy of healing, no expectation to share or have breakthroughs, and no emphasis on being any particular way. It’s a space for softening, slowing, and remembering. A space where your wholeness is already intact.

I think I want to sign up but I’m not sure.

That’s okay! If you’re not sure but think that a chat would be supportive, we’re here and available, just get in touch. Spaces are limited, though, so we’d just advise not leaving it too late.

Ellowen is an Irish writer, musician, accredited psychotherapist & facilitator. Her twelve-year long full-time spiritual odyssey took her from Northern California to Asia to study for years with Buddhist, yogic and tantric masters, and to New Zealand Aotearoa for esoteric soul studies, attending and assisting 5 of the temple trainings at Highden temple in New Zealand (immersive 6-week containers living and breathing temple life). Then Éire called her home to serve the Celtic lands.
